The Windmills
2018, oil, canvas, 48”X48”
This is an extraordinary view - suddenly they appear, like ghosts, and you just can’t stop looking at them. The scale is fascinating, and the movement is so dignified. In summer, hills become golden ocher and only a few oak trees are casting shade for the freely grazing black cows. You can see it while driving by, but I imagined that I lived in a house with a view on the windmills. So that is also just my fantasy.
